Below are answers to the most common issues. If your question isn't covered here, reach out and we'll get back to you.
My Chores only shows assignments for the person selected as "you" on this device. Check Settings → Your Profile and make sure you've selected yourself. If the People list is empty, go to the People tab and add family members first.
For rotating chores, the current assignee is a pure function of today's date and the rotation settings. If it looks wrong:
The Upcoming tab only lists rotating chores — permanent chores never hand off, and daily chores are excluded (they'd appear every day). If all your chores are permanent or daily, Upcoming will be empty by design.
Rostre syncs via iCloud. Check that both devices are signed into the same iCloud account and that iCloud Drive is enabled (Settings → [your name] → iCloud → iCloud Drive). Allow a minute or two for changes to propagate. If sync is still not working, toggling iCloud Drive off and back on can prompt a re-sync.
Siri can only see today's pending chores (those currently assigned to you and not yet marked done or skipped). If the chore isn't in your My Chores list for today, Siri won't be able to find it. Make sure your profile is set in Settings → Your Profile.
Also try saying "Mark [chore name] done in Rostre" — Siri sometimes needs the app name to correctly route the request.
The rotation order is the top-to-bottom order in the People tab. To reorder, tap Edit in the People tab and drag family members into the correct order. Changing the order regenerates all future pending entries.
Deleted chores and their completed entries cannot be recovered from within the app. If you have iCloud Backup enabled, you may be able to restore a previous backup from Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Restore — but note this will restore the entire device to that backup date.
Developer mode is activated by tapping the version number in Settings three times quickly. It has no effect on the app's core behaviour. To disable it, go to Settings → scroll to the Developer section → turn off Developer Mode.
